How it all started
Founded by Khalid Jardani and Christine Gialamatzi, our journey was guided by a deep appreciation for Moroccan craft.
While sourcing unique, handcrafted pieces, we found ourselves intrigued by the world of clay, leading us to pottery studios across Morocco, connecting us to the artisans and stories shaping this centuries-old tradition.

Behind the craft
Through our visits and conversations with local artisans, we began to understand the reality behind Moroccan pottery: high volumes, low wages, and no long-term stability for those who keep it alive.
As a result, young people are increasingly turning away from this path, choosing more stable careers, putting generations of knowledge and cultural heritage at risk of disappearing.

A different way
We searched for studios and artisan communities working differently, but couldn't find one that truly aligned. That planted the seed to build it from the ground up. Not just a pottery studio, but a whole new way of working entirely. A healthy system shaped around the people who carry this craft into the future.
Studio Artizana Today
Today, Studio Artizana is an independent pottery studio with a growing team of artisans. All our pieces are handcrafted exclusively in-house for our two boutiques in Tamraght. Together, we aim to set a new standard in Moroccan craft, one that inspires a new generation of makers.
