Studio Artizana is an independent pottery studio based in Tamraght, Morocco. Built around the artisans who carry this craft forward.
How it all started
We started as a curated shop, born from a deep appreciation for Moroccan craft. It led us into pottery studios across the region, where we immersed ourselves in the world of clay by selecting unique pieces. Until we met Ahmed.
Ahmed
A potter who have spent most of his life shaping clay. Through his work and stories, we began to understand the reality behind the craft. High volumes, low wages, and no long-term stability for the artisans behind it.
A different path
We searched for studios working differently, but we couldn't find a single one. So we decided to take a leap of faith and create our own. Not just a pottery studio, but a whole new way of working entirely. One built around our values and the people who carry this craft into the next generations.
Studio Artizana Today
Today, Studio Artizana is an independent pottery studio producing exclusively in-house for our own boutiques in Tamraght. We also host hands-on workshops and retreats where anyone can come and experience this craft for themselves.
